Sea-Doo Catch Can Fits 1630 Models (170 / 230 / 300 / 325) Only
Why buy plastic, that will turn ugly yellow, when instead you can get our awesome aluminum catch can in three different colors.
Our custom designed catch for Sea-Doo ACE 1630 models mounts at the front of the engine for easy access.
Comes with everything required for installation, we recommend blue thread locker on the mounting bracket bolts.
Fits Sea-Doo 1630 models only, does not fit models with oil filler tube mounted at the front of the engine.
NOTE: Current batch of catch cans has a CNC machining pattern on the top of the can. Please check pictures before ordering to make sure you are ok with it.
100% filled with oil vapor condensing foam to pull as much oil from the passing air as possible.
Quickly and easily check/drain any collected fluids using the bottom mounted drain or simply unscrew the lower half to fully inspect contents.
Easy service access at the front of the engine. No need to remove top deck components just to get to your catch can.
Available in three colors to fit your style.
Installation
Sea-Doo 325
STEP 1:
To access the mount position, we need to remove the top intake tubing. To do so remove the 3 zip ties, 2 straps and hose clamp as shown in the picture below. Also, remove the two hose clamps holding the breather hose. The zip ties can be reused by using a pin to release the locking tab, no need to cut them off. Once released, remove the top plastic tube section of the intake.
STEP 2:
Remove the two screws holding the front engine lift mount. You can bend the rubber intake section out of the way to access those screws. The screws use Torx T8 head, short ratchet extension will be required. You can install the catch can mount and the engine lift mount together but its easier to simply remove it.
STEP 3:
Install the included catch can mount in place of the engine lift mount. Take your time so you don’t drop the screws. Using a small piece of tape to hold the screw to the socket might help.
STEP 4:
Attach the catch can to the mount bracket using the included bolts. It might be helpful to leave the bottom section of the can detached during installation. We recommend blue loctite so the vibration of the engine doesn’t loosen the bolts.
STEP 5:
Install the included hose to the catch can and breather outlet.
Install the included cap on the intake tube.
STEP 6:
Attach the included catch can filter using the hose clamp, also included. Reinstall the plastic top intake tubing using the original zip ties, straps and clamp. Installation is now complete.
