The R&D Yamaha GP 1800 Sponson Kit was developed to deliver improved handling stability and much smoother top speed performance averages in recreational, offshore, and closed course race conditions. The kit also reduces chine walking in hard 90° and 180° turns, and is super stable at high top speeds!

The R&D Sponson works exceptionally well "2 Up" (Passenger)! No other sponson works better, or is more versatile in all areas!

The R&D sponson kit is a unique design that adapts an additional "Deeper Race Fin" blade that assembles and mates between the oem sponson and the hull. The "Race Fin" has proven to outperform all other sponson kits on the VXR!
